President Trump signed an executive order on 29 September 2026 establishing America.gov as the single point of entry for covered federal services online. The order directs the Administrator of General Services, with the National Design Studio and OMB, to establish and operate it and to integrate Login.gov.

Covered services are public-facing federal services with more than 100,000 users in 12 months that can be accessed or applied for online. It excludes IRS tax filing services and services of the Department of War and the Intelligence Community. The OMB director must issue implementation guidance within 90 days.

The White House fact sheet says Americans can ask any question on America.gov now, and that tasks such as passport renewal and Medicare enrollment are due later this year.
