What are AI Overviews?
AI Overviews are a Google Search feature that writes a short summary of a topic with AI, with links to learn more. Google says they are for when you want a quick answer without having to piece together all the information yourself.
In May 2024 Google said AI Overviews, already tried in its Search Labs experiment, would begin rolling out to everyone in the U.S., with more countries coming soon. The post says people can get a quick overview of a topic and links to learn more, and that ads appear in dedicated slots on the page, with clear labels to tell organic and sponsored results apart.
