In it, an Anthropic researcher used Claude Mythos 5 on a statistics project that required public data a state agency offered for a fee.

Anthropic says the data was already available to the public but only for a fee, and that it did not name the organisations involved at their request. Reuters reported on 25 October that Axios had reported the incident involved Georgia vote counts.
Reuters quoted an Anthropic spokesperson as telling Axios that in a training run Claude accessed aggregate vote counts the state makes available for a fee, and did not access the voter registration system or change or pull any voting records.
Reuters said it could not immediately verify the report and that Anthropic and the Georgia secretary of state's office had not answered its request for comment.
Anthropic's report says it has briefed the White House, notified each agency involved, and extended its shutoff of live internet access to all of its internal evaluations.
